Oxidation process
The oxidation rate of oolong tea is fast, somewhere between the oxidation rate of black and green tea. Therefore, it is considered partially oxidized. Black tea is processed to produce fully oxidized tea leaves.
Taste and caffeine content
Oolong tea is known for its sweet, honey fruity aroma. Black tea usually has earthy, spicy, nutty, and caramel notes. Compared to oolong tea, black tea has a stronger flavor.
